Why Avanza exists.
Avanza Advisors SL was founded in Barcelona in 2025. It grew out of twenty years of interviewing university applicants, and out of what those conversations kept showing.
The students who struggled were rarely the ones who lacked ability. They were the ones who had nobody holding the whole list.
Interviewing applicants for Princeton over two decades put one pattern in plain view. Two students of equal promise arrive at the application year with unequal support: one has a counselor who knows how the systems work, the other is assembling it alone, often in a second language, often alongside exams, often as the first person in their family to do it.
The difference is not advice about where to apply. It is the administration — knowing what each university asks for, when, and in what order, and keeping hold of it for a year. That part is learnable, repeatable, and something software can carry.
So Avanza builds it, and gives it away to the students who cannot pay.

The student is the customer
UniTrak is bought by the student, not by a school or a district. That is what makes it reach a student whose school has bought nothing, and what makes the plan belong to them.
No enterprise sales
There is no counselor console and no implementation to run. Schools and programs are how students find us, not accounts to be closed.
Access is the through-line
Free places are not a marketing programme with a cap. A student who cannot pay says so, and uses it.
The team
Megin Wolfman
Megin is a passionate advocate for education access. She brings more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience, including 12 years at Americares, where she rose to SVP and Chief Strategy Officer, helping grow the organization’s reach from $500 million to over $1.3 billion annually in service of under-resourced communities across 85 countries.
Megin has served on five independent school and nonprofit boards across three continents over the past decade, personally leading capital campaigns at two of those institutions and collectively raising over $100 million for institutional growth and student access. She earned a Master of Public Administration in nonprofit financial management from NYU and a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.
For over 20 years, she has volunteered as a Princeton alumni interviewer — helping students find their path to higher education, a commitment that led her to found Avanza Advisors.
Indumathi Raghuraman
Indu is a deeply experienced product leader who believes that all students have the right to thrive no matter their background. She brings a proven track record across software product management, business strategy, and go-to-market execution, leading complex, cross-functional teams at the forefront of the global communications industry.
Her experience overseeing international business lines with revenues exceeding $1 billion across diverse global constituencies, combined with her personal experience navigating different educational systems, gives her a unique technological and cultural fluency — a deep understanding of how context, background, and geography shape a student’s path, and what it truly takes to build a platform that serves all of them. Indu holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Bangalore University.
Adam Wolfman
Adam is committed to supporting all students, believing that each deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. Over the past two decades, he has been responsible for investment portfolios reaching over $2.5 billion, and demonstrated a successful track record of backing companies shaping the technology industry around the world. He is deeply focused on identifying companies capable of sustained growth, believing that the best businesses serve all their stakeholders responsibly.
His commitment to educational access has been shaped by over 20 years of philanthropic engagement with the sector and service on the advisory boards of two nonprofit organizations, where he has advised on broadening access by leveraging technology and ensuring financial sustainability. Adam holds an AB in Politics cum laude from Princeton University.
Avanza Advisors is in incubation with five local partners. UniTrak opens for student sign-up ahead of the 2027–2028 application season.
